BOROUGH MARKET – www.boroughmarket.org.uk
Starting in 1756 Borough Market is the oldest food market in
London. It’s a true example of British
history, heritage and values. With a friendly and unique atmosphere the market aims to showcase the very best quality of local
and international food.
Borough Market is a haven for gluten free finds.
The ‘Street Food’ options are excellent, I found; Spicy Ethiopian curries, a Thai stall that made GF coconut pancakes,
Raclette served with pickles and potatoes and even an Indian stall that cooked
up Lentil Crepes stuffed with curry!
You will also find the fantastic Free- From Bakehouse (www.thefreefrombakehouse.com)
which sells delicious bakery items such as cupcakes, flapjacks, muffins, cakes,
tarts, cookies and savory items. Wednesday – Saturday
The prices are expensive however you are receiving a premium quality product and I would come to Borough Market just to pick up some of their delicious Rocky Road!

Drinks wise you will find Cold Brew Iced Coffees, Indian
Teas, Juices & Smoothies within the market as well as a damn good jug of
Sangria at Tapas Brindisa.
The Wine Pantry is also worth a visit (situated in-between
the 2 market places) it’s a beautiful setting to watch the lively market whilst
indulging and sampling some English wine, cheese and cured meats.
