BUSABA EATHAI – www.busaba.com
Being gluten free definitely has its challenges when it
comes to Asian cuisine.
Fortunately for us this issue has been solved by Busaba
Eathai; a modern Thai diner serving excellent food in a causal, fuss free,
environment. Perfect for a quick one course, an intimate dinner or even a large
party, this place is a great gluten free eatery.
From their aromatic Wok Tossed Cashews to start, traditional
Thai Curries for mains and even a stunningly fragrant Kaffir Lime Crème Brulee
for dessert, its more about deciding what to eat that you’ll find problematic!
For me there are two notable dishes that I need to tell you
about.
Firstly, their Chicken Satay; unbelievably tender chicken
that even without the sauce would be worth mentioning! Thankfully though their
satay sauce IS gluten free, a rarity that needs to be highlighted, and is
absolutely divine.
Secondly, their Pad Thai; quoted from a well-travelled
friend as “the closest (thing) to what can be found on the streets of Bangkok”.
It’s got the perfect balance of flavours and at £8.95 for a massive plate it’s
a winner.
Pair these with their Lemongrass and Thai basil martini or
the Pink Peppercorn Margarita and it’s a match made in heaven!
I adore this place, simple as.
n.b. The majority of the tables are shared.
