THE CANVAS CAFE – www.thecanvascafe.org
For months, my Instagram feed has been filled with copious
images of outrageously good looking dessert drinks. I’ve stared longingly and
hopefully and have grumpily waited for the day a gluten free one came on the
scene. The day has finally come.
Just off Brick Lane on Hanbury Street you will find The
Canvas Café, London’s very first ‘happy’ café. This inviting and inclusive
space hosts nightly community events, promotes positivity, and very importantly
serves gluten free and vegan FREAKSHAKES.
With a detailed understanding of gluten free and coeliac
disease, they make their Freakshakes from scratch. With a unique blend of banana and coconut to create the icecream and a variety of fresh toppings such as whipped cream, meringues, raw cake, nuts and homemade Nutella, its truly impressive that all of this is gluten free and vegan!
It was worth the wait, the Freakshakes tasted great and of
course (they) felt right at home on the RFTG Instagram account.
The Canvas Café also offer gluten free brunch and lunch
options as well as raw cakes.
